There Are Those Who Fail At Customer Service
![]() |
The image to the left is a stark reminder not to forget our customers. They are the life blood of our organizations. This is not a new story, but one that is badly replayed everyday. Over the last two months I have been assisting a new customer meeting some of their data processing needs. During this time I have been able to observe the response time of their vendors. From the time they have placed a call to the time they receive a response call has been upwards to twenty-four hours. And from the day they get a response, it can be up to three before a technician is on premise to resolve the issue. We have to admit, that there have been times that we have failed our own exceptions, and had to make changes in our approach. |
Look For A Solution
Just recently we noticed that our cellphone carrier was doing a poor job of notify us of incoming voice-mail messages. But after investigated the issue, it was found that it was more the design of the cell phone than the carrier. With overwhelming curiosity I set out to find a application to solve the problem. The application I found creates repeated notification that a voice-mail has been received, and if needed will continually ring until it is manually shut off. This is good when you know your going into high noise level environments.
